What is Direct Primary Care?

Through Direct Primary Care (DPC), a patient receives comprehensive primary health care directly from Click Family Healthcare. The patient pays a monthly fee directly to Click Family Healthcare. The fee covers primary care services listed below which for most people is 85-90% of their healthcare needs. In short, Click cuts out insurance and provides you direct one-to-one primary care.

Click Family Healthcare does not participate in any insurance plans, which allows us to avoid the ever-increasing, costly documentation demands and administrative intrusions that come with accepting insurance.  Our practice also avoids the onerous patient data collection responsibilities which many plans impose. These require staff, time, and money and often amount to a substantial intrusion of patient privacy.

Because Click Family Healthcare avoids these obligations to insurance companies, we’re free to spend more time listening to and treating patients. And because Click eliminates the significant overhead costs of participating in insurance, we pass that savings on to our patients – and give compassionate, attentive and affordable care.

Simple Pricing

Children 0-18 years old, $15/month with at least one parent membership

At this time, we are not able to provide routine vaccinations. Call to discuss how we can help arrange these for you.

Adults 19-44 years old - $50/month

Adults 45-64 years old - $75/month

Adults 65+ years old - $100/month

Employer groups with 5+ employees - $50/mo/adult

One time walk-in fee - $50, which can be applied to membership

Nursing home and home-bound patients - call for details

 

What is included in a membership?

Click Family Healthcare offers a wide range of adult and family primary care services including, but not limited to:

• Preventive health care
• Acute care and chronic disease management
• EKG, spirometry and breathing treatments
• Mental health, including treatment for depression, anxiety and mood issues
• School, sports and workplace physicals
• Treatment of sprains and simple fracture care
• Office procedures including laceration repair, skin lesion removal, biopsy of suspicious skin lesions, cryotherapy, joint injections, vasectomies and more
• Women’s health
• Well checks for infants and children
• Same-day or next-day appointments based on medical need
• Access to our in-house pharmacy and lab at greatly reduced cost

Other procedures are offered for a small added cost. Additional expense may be incurred for splints, casts, crutches or if tissue is sent for pathology. Any added costs are always discussed prior to the test or treatment being ordered.

 

What is not included in a membership?

Primary care services provided through Click Family Healthcare can address the vast majority of an individual’s health care needs. However, some services are not included in the membership. Patients are encouraged to combine their Click Family Healthcare membership with a high-deductible insurance policy to cover specialist physicians, emergency room and hospital services.  A Click Family Healthcare membership does not cover the cost of such services as:

• Laboratory Services (available at reduced cost)
• Medications (available at reduced cost)
• Allergy Testing
• Medical Imaging
• Surgery
• Specialist Care
• Emergency Department Visits
• Hospitalization

Your Click Family Healthcare provider will help you navigate the healthcare system when specialist services are required.

What if I need care after hourS?

 

 

The Click team is available when you need us. If we are not in the clinic, you can reach us on our cell phone via text, call or email. Our commitment is to our patients, and we’re flexible to meet their needs.

 

Is there a fee to sign up?

There is no enrollment fee. Our fees are simple and straightforward.

 

Does Click Family Healthcare see all ages?

Yes. Click Family Healthcare is happy to accept patients of all ages. Please note, children between 0-18 must have a member parent or guardian enrolled. Due to regulatory restrictions, Click Family Healthcare is not available to those who are eligible for Medicare, Medicaid or other government health programs.

 

What if I need medical attention when away from home?

In the age of technology, many conditions can be diagnosed and treated via a simple conversation by phone, email or video conferencing. If appropriate, Click Family Healthcare will locate the nearest pharmacy and order medication most suited for your circumstance. If you need to go to the hospital or seek other medical attention while away from home, our team is happy to advise and assist you in finding care.

 

Does Click Family Healthcare accept health insurance?

No. Happily, no. Perhaps the most critical distinction of our model of care centers on a direct, personal relationship between you and your doctor. That directness carries over to the Click Family Healthcare business model as well. While the mercies of an insurance company may apply well to fixing a damaged fender on an automobile, we see no reason for any insurer to have a voice about either the quality or the cost of your family’s health care. Click Family Healthcare forgoes insurance payments in order to save our patients from the arbitrary, intrusive decisions that inevitably follow with insurance company coverage. Furthermore, this direct fee-for-services arrangement frees us from the typical contractual agreements that prevent physicians from offering greatly reduced prices on laboratory tests, imaging, and medications.

Do I still need INsurance?

Yes. Click Family Healthcare does not replace insurance. We encourage our patients to carry a high deductible, major medical plan or a plan with a health savings account. Doing so can ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary. You should consult with your insurance provider to help you find a plan that works best with our medical model and that will meet your specific needs.

 

Are Click’s services eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement?

Direct Primary Care may qualify as reimbursable through your Health Savings Account (HSA) and may also qualify under the Affordable Care Act. Please contact the administrator of your HSA to determine whether your membership fees are reimbursable.

 

What if I want to continue my current insurance? Can I still use it?

Since Click Family Healthcare does not accept insurance, your insurance will not pay for any services we provide. Your Click provider will be able to order labs, x-rays and medications at facilities preferred by your insurance if you would like.  Our in-house pharmacy and lab are a convenient option for patients, but not a requirement. Due to regulatory restrictions, Click Family Healthcare is not available to those who are eligible for Medicare, Medicaid or other government health programs.

 

When do I pay my fees for prescriptions and labs?

Charges for prescriptions and labs are due at the time of service. Patients on auto-charge or bank draft may have their charges added to the following month’s billing invoice.
